7 Great Hair Care Tips
By Ispas Marin

Hair is an important aspect in a person’s look. Every day almost every person thinks about what hairstyles to use or how to take care of his hair. The hair care methods are vital in having a great hair resulting in a great image. I will try to share with you some hair care secrets and advice that always worked for me.

Hair Care Tips

1. First of all you have to love your hair. You have to love it because it makes you look good, it gives you real advantages. But belive me that there are hundreds of people that hate their hair. And that’s not good because if you don’t like your hair then you will probably neglect it. You shouldn’t hate your hair because, even if it’s not such a beautiful type of hair like you see at other people on the street there are many ways to make it look real good.

2. Accept your hair for what it is. It doesn’t matter what kind of hair you have, thin, wavy, curly or stick straight, just accept it and respect it. If it’s curled than don’t try to straighten it. Using different damaging chemicals and methods to change your hair type it will practically destroy it. A person with curled hair will be desperate to straighten it up. A person with straight hair will surely want to get it curled. So try to make changes to your hair in the most kindly way.

3. Maintain your hair with pride and consistency. Depending on the length and style, have it trimmed appropriately. If you wear your hair short, have the style refreshed every 3-4 weeks. If you are growing your hair longer, have it trimmed every 6-8 weeks to remove split ends.

4. Choose a real good stylist for your hair styles. The styles has to respect your hair and all your demands and needs. Try too chose stylists recommended by friends.

5. Invest all the amount of money that you can afford on the best hair care products that you can find on the market.

6. Try to have as many activities as you can that are healthy for your hair. The hair is a part of your body and you should treat it well too. Exercise, eat well and avoid smoking and alcohol.

7. Try to pamper your hair once a week minimum. this means having a hot oil treatment or taking Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs). Also try to have a scalp massage as often as possible. If you treat your hair good belive me that it will respond.

All in all the hair is an important part in your body that should be well taken care of. Try to spend as much time as you can for your hair care.

Choosing the Perfect Hairstyle for You & Teen Hair Style Ideas

Choosing The Perfect Hairstyle For You!
By Erin Love

Deciding which hairstyle to try next is always a stressful task for any woman. Our hairstyle choice can mean the difference in looking five years older or five years younger. A woman’s hair is an essential part of the “complete package”, so finding the perfect one for your face shape is extremely important.

There are six basic face shapes – oval, round, square, triangle, oblong and heart shaped. To find which shape best describes your face pull your hair back and study your face in the mirror. I will list the characteristics of each face shape below, as it may be easier to understand:

• Oval – evenly proportioned, egg shaped

• Round – round at the hairline and chin line, wide face, baseball shaped

• Square – straight hairline, angled jaw line, wide face

• Triangle – wide chin with narrow forehead

• Heart shaped – upside down triangle face, narrow jaw line and widest at eye line

• Oblong – long and thin face with rounded chin and jaw line, chin will appear pointed, much like oval

If you are still having trouble deciding which face shape matches yours, try drawing the outline of your face onto the mirror with lipstick. Step away from the mirror and study the shape you have drawn on the mirror. Pick the one it most closely resembles. You will most likely be correct, but if you have questions go to a professional to have them determine your face shape.

Now that you have determined your face shape, let’s see what the best hairstyle will be for your shape! The oval faced shape has the most leeway with hairstyles. Almost any style will complement this face shape. For instance, an oval face shape could easily carry off a short pixie cut or a shoulder length layered bob.

A round face needs the illusion of length to thin the face out a bit, so a longer hairstyle is best for you. If you have a round face and you have short hair at the moment part your hair on the side. It will interrupt the roundness of the face, whereas a center part would not. Bangs should be avoided on a round face.

If you have a square face you want your hairstyle to soften the hard lines of the square, so short layers in longer hair are best. Bangs that are swept to the side also soften the sharp lines of the square face. This face shape can handle lots of wispy layers, so take advantage!
If you have a triangle face shape you want to find a hairstyle that narrows the chin line and widens the forehead. In other words, a hairstyle that has a lot of volume on the top of the head is best. Do not choose a hairstyle that has a lot of volume around the chin. This face shape looks best with a cut that is below the chin or longer.

A heart shaped face needs a little balancing around the chin area. You tend to be pointed in this area, so you want to add the illusion of fullness. For instance, a rounded bob would look great on this face shape. To add a little softness to the forehead a side swept bang would also look great for this face shape. Avoid any style that will cling to closely to the face, though.

A short hairstyle complements the oblong shaped face. You don’t want anything past your shoulders because it will only lengthen the face and you definitely don’t need that. This face shape can carry off bangs with perfection! Wearing a side part is also flattering to this face shape. Asymmetric hairstyles look great on this face shape!

Now, I hope I have helped you to find the perfect hairstyle for you! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to e-mail me at erinlove@panachebyerin.com. I will be happy to help you. Otherwise, it is time to make that much needed and anticipated hair appointment!

Teen Hair Style Ideas
By Michael Barrows

There is perhaps never a better time when you can pull off the very trendy and funky hair styles as when you are a teenager. The teen hair style, while always evolving and reflecting the tastes of the generation, always tends to be a trendy hair style that is hard for older people to imitate and still look great. From a ton of texture to funky and fresh color techniques, the teen hair style is always at the cutting edge of fashion.

The funky teen hair style always looks like it has been taken straight off the runway. Infused with rich, trendy color, the teen hair style does a lot to capture an era of style completely. Just think about all of the famous teen hair styles, of the past. Complete generations have been defined by the trendy hair styles worn by the teenagers of that time.

Today, top teen hair styles are trendier than ever and cover a wide range of styles, lengths and textures. Perhaps for the first time, the teen hair style is a reflection of the person within instead of the popular teen hair styles without. I mean just think of how many popular teen hair styles there are to choose from. We are no longer like the cookie-cutter generations that came before.

While there are a great deal of teen hair styles to choose from and numerous variations of each, it can be hard to find the perfect teen hair style to reflect your personality and tastes. So, here are a few ideas for your next teen hair style.

The short teen hair style

The teen hair style has never been shorter. In fact, many teenage girls are now wearing their hair shorter than the boys. But one thing is always sure; the short teen hair style is always a trendy hair style. Full of texture and interest, the short teen hair style is never dull.

Probably the most popular short teen hair style of today is a variation on the pixie cut. Only about 1″ to 1 ½” in length throughout, this teen hair style is heavily textured and can be worn in several different ways. From rigid spikes and soft funk to close-to-the-head tresses, this teen hair style accommodates a wide range of tastes.

The textured teen hair style

No matter what length your locks are, texture is needed to pull off a trendy hair style. This texture can be created through cutting and razoring techniques, it can be natural as in the case of natural curl, and it can be created chemically through perms and relaxers or thermal styling tools.

As mentioned before, today’s teen hair style is never boring. Not only does texture liven up your teen hair style, it can also take a popular style and make it uniquely your own. Take for instance a simple layered teen hair style. Falling about shoulder length, this teen hair style would be dull if left to hang straight. But if you take the same cut and add pomade to texturize the ends or add spiral curl to this teen hair style with tube rollers, you could really have a different teen hair style each and every day.

The teen hair style and color

Every trendy hair style needs color, and the same is true for the teen hair style. Adding color can be as simple as a few highlights or lowlights or it can come in the form of dramatic changes such as dark colors for the Gothic look. Color for the teen hair style can also be a statement of itself. Just look at the colors worn by Pink and Christina Aguilera. Their most popular teen hair style cuts were not really anything that unique, it was their color that set their teen hair style apart from others.

When choosing color for your teen hair style do not be afraid to try something funky and unique. This may be the only time in your life that you can get by with blue highlights. Also, do not become wrapped up in choosing the same color for your teen hair style that you have seen worn by other people. Stay unique, venture out, be brave and you will always have a teen hair style worthy of envy.

Natural Green For Your Hair Problem

The nature is a real ally when it comes to hair care, it always brings the best and efficient methods of taking care of your hair. Here are some plants that would help you regain the health, beauty and shine of your hair.

Salvia feeds.

Prepare it as following and use it for rinsing the hair when taking a bath: mix 2 cups of apple vinegar, 2 cups of water, 3 teaspoons of salvia tea and boil it for 15 minutes. Let it cool down to the room’s temperature, and then apply it on the wet hair. After a few minutes, rinse with plenty of water.

Chamomile is best for blonde hair.

Bur stops hair loss.

Bur has an action resembling to mint, but also helps thin hairs become more resistant. The most known and efficient recipe is bur root decoct, used for rinsing the hair and massaging the scalp. If the hair is very thin, long and fragile, use the oil obtained from this plant, because it’s more concentrated. Rich in vitamins and trace elements, the nettle is one of the most often used plants for treating hair problems. You need to make yourself a nettle decoct, and rub the head skin and the full hair length with it, or combine it with some water and use it to rinse for the last time when you wash your hair.

Coconut oil stimulates hair growth.

Coconut oil activates the blood flow in the scalp, feeds the hair on all its length and increases its resistance. Moist the hair, dip some cotton in coconut oil and rub the scalp, then stripes of hair, from the root to the tips. Gather the hair in a loop and cover it in a towel dipped in hot water, carefully wringed. At this temperature, the hairs cuticles open, allowing the hair to be fed from inside. After 10 minutes of action, wash your hair with a delicate shampoo and rinse it well.

Lemon and lime give a natural glowing to the hair.

Here is a method that revives the hair and gives back the natural shine: cut a lemon and a lime and boil them in 800 ml of water. When the water boils, mingle, diminish the fire and let it boil some more, until the water level drops to half. Pull aside, let it cool, strain it, and wring out the lime and lemon slices. Pour the liquid in a recipient that can pulverize and keep it cool. Use it in the hot days

Cure For Baldness and Graying of Hair
By Krishan Bakhru

Hair springs from the true skin, with a root and a stem. The sebaceous glands open into the follicles of the hair and if there is a malfunctioning of these glands, there is dryness of hair. Overactive sebaceous glands tend to make the hair oily to which dust and grime have a tendency to stick making them look unkempt and unruly.

The varying tint of the hair is due to the pigment scattered in varying amounts throughout the hair and white hairs are produced if there are numerous air spaces throughout the cells composing them. The hair grow at the rate of 15 centimeters or about 6 inches a year. But in most persons the hairs have a tendency to fall when they reach a particular length; new hair grow from the papilla of the old hairs which have fallen off.

There is a tendency of the hair to lose their natural color with advancing age. If the hair turn gray with age, it is but natural but premature graying is a morbid condition, the causative factors of which include chronic cold, sinusitis and a constitution given to indulgence in emotions like anger and passion. Worry and sudden shock (as of a loved one dying unexpectedly) are also precipitating factors. People who are in the habit of washing their hair with hot water or women who use hair dryers are more prone to suffer from premature graying of the hair than others.

Lack of care of the hair, a tendency to wash them with hot water or to dry them with electric dryers which emit a blast of hot air, are some of the precipitating factors. Hair dyes used in the earlier stages (when the hair have just started graying) also accentuate the process of graying. Chronic cold being one of the causative factors must be first dealt with if there is premature graying of hair. Factory-made hair oils (they are generally cleaned with acids and some of the acids have a tendency to remain in the oil) tend to strengthen the tendency of premature graying.

Summer Hair Care Tips for Dry Hair
By Natalie Aranda

Summer is approaching, time to wear short hairstyles and pay special attention to your hair care, because the sun and humidity is the worst enemy of your hair’s cuticles, causing damage that results in split ends, dry hair, frizzy hair or brittle hair. In healthy conditions, hair’s moisture content is approximately 10%, but sunlight has the same damaging effect as a hot blow dryer on your hair.

When hair’s moisture content drops below normal moisture, it is necessary to increase your hair’s ability to attract and retain natural moisture, preventing dry hair. Frizzy hair is a pain that can be prevented by shampooing your hair thoroughly and then applying a rinse out conditioner to eliminate static electricity, adding moisture and shine.

Keeping a hair care routine and short hairstyles during summer does help to prevent novice effects of sunlight. Additionally, wearing a hat at the beach, and applying after sun exposure such as a Sun Hair Repair Mask, keeps or replenishes the moisture of your hair. However, take in mind the aluminizing and voluminzing products make your hair take body and shine but do not hydrate it.

It is not mandatory to spend your summer on the beach, so if you stay home take a weekend to apply a good deep conditioner on your hair. Health care at home allows you to take an intensive treatment with jojoba oil, or any other product especially designed for dry hair or frizzy hair. Apply the warm treatment on the ends and frizziest parts of your hair, wrapping it in plastic, then go to bed and sleep the night through.

At the beach, make sure to wear your hat and if you and use a deep cleansing shampoo as soon as you get back home. This hair care is to prevent possible damage to your hair after a day exposing it to the sun and salty seawater. However, take in mind that severely dry hair may be burnt and cannot be fixed.

In this case, it is much better to trim the damaged sections of your hair off, particularly if you have frizzy hair, and opt to wear any of the modern short hairstyles to mask the problem while your hair grows again. One thing you should discontinue during summer is the use of blow dryers because summer heat is hot enough to damage it by itself and contains potential frizzies.

There are many hair care products to control frizzy hair, but be careful. Most of them contain silicone that coats your hair after several applications causing major harm instead of benefits to your hair. On the other hand, some hair conditioners only provide moisture to your hair while they are coating your hair as well. These products do not harm your hair, but do not help either.

Short hairstyles for summer time are the key to enjoying the sun and yet remember to continue religiously your hair care routine without missing your sunny days.

Save Your Hair & Your Hair Loss Problem

Save Your Hair
By Doug Setter

A friend of mine, in his early 20’s, once went to work in South America for a Christian organization. He came back to Canada in about 4-6 months, looking quite a bit skinnier and missing a good chunk of his hair. I was curious about his working conditions and the South American diet. It turned out that he lived almost exclusively off of canned goods for those several months. The rest of his family had full heads of hair, so I do not think that it was genetics that caused his hair to fall out.

After a few weeks of fresh food, he started to look better and his hair seemed to thicken. I did not see him since, so I can only hope that the good nutrition brought back his hair.

Hair is made up largely of proteins. Protein, certain vitamins and minerals are essential in any cell growth and rejuvenation. So, if you want to cover the nutrition side of the house, ensure that you are eating between 50 and 150 grams of protein per day. That can be found in eating eggs or lean meats at every meal. Eat more lean protein and less starch. I often eat 2 chicken breast sandwiches without the bread! (Note: The white flour bread has little or not food value and just makes you feel fuller.)

Next to protein, you should be getting enough Vitamin B-complex, along with vitamins A and C and minerals such as: iron, iodine, copper and cobalt (found in vitamin B12). Beef liver once or twice a week can supply you with most of the B vitamins and minerals. As bland as it can taste, beef liver is packed with nutrients. (Don’t eat if you have gout.)

To get your vitamins and minerals, include wheat germ, sprouts, molasses, leafy greens, fresh fruit, seaweed and fish. These are all cheap and easy to access foods. You might consider packing your own lunch to get fresh food instead of the fast food route.

Foods to avoid: Coffee, processed starches and sugar. These will interfer with processing nutrients.

Exercise is also important, as it improves circulation, releases toxins and lowers stress.

Another proven method for hair growth is regular scalp massages. If you cannot afford one, do it yourself, when you shampoo your hair. Then rinse with cold water. Yep, cold water is great for the circulation. Good luck.

Prom Hairstyle Guide & Prom Hair Style Perfection

Prom Hairstyle Guide
By Sarah Freeland

If you are looking for the perfect prom hairstyle then you will want to start by looking at what is trendy this prom season. For the 2007 prom season think retro. Look back at styles from the 20s, 60s, 70s and 80s for inspiration. Consider the page boy, the shag or a pixie cut. Create formal looks from these styles by adding sparkly hair accessories like beaded headdresses, fancy headbands, beaded or bejeweled barrettes, or flowers.

If you have medium length hair then you can select from longer versions of popular short haircuts, or you can use curls and waves to create a trendy look. With medium length hair you can select from hairstyles that are down and loose, or from styles that are up-does. Create formal looks for medium length haircuts by adding great hair accessories. Or if you are looking for an edgier look try adding spray color and gel.

While 2007 hairstyle trends are focused on short hairstyles, long is still in. If you have long hair then your prom hairstyle should try to include long spiral curls or soft waves. Long hair can be worn up, however, the trend for long hair is to wear it down and soft. Create a more formal look by adding flowers and bejeweled hair clips.

If you will be going to a hair salon to get your hair styled for the prom make sure that you arrive at your appointment with several ideas. While it is okay to have a main hairstyle in mind when you arrive at your hairstyling appointment, it is a good idea to have one or two backups just in case the first style doesn’t work out. A good way to avoid hairstyle disasters at the eleventh hour, take advantage of free hairstyle consultations offered by most professional hairstylists.

Prom Hair Style Perfection
By Michael Barrows

The prom is perhaps the most important event for teenagers during their high school careers. Only when put next to graduation does the prom take a backseat as one of the most memorable times during a teenager’s life. That is why it is so important to find the perfect prom hair style to complete your look on this special night. And with so much thought and planning put into finding the perfect dress and gathering all of the right accessories, why not also take a little time before hand to choose and practice your prom hair style?

While the prom hair style does not necessarily have to be formal and intricate, there are some prom hair styles that require a bit of practice before the big night. Even it you are having your hair done by a professional, he or she will appreciate talking with you and helping you choose your prom hair style in advance of the dance. Doing so will eliminate any miscommunications and ensure that you are happy with your hair on the night of the prom.

But before you begin practicing your prom hair style or talking to your stylist about it, you need to first find a few different prom hair styles that you would love to wear to your prom. One of the best places to find the perfect prom hair style is right here online. There are literally hundreds of prom hair style photo galleries that can be accessed with a simple keyword search using your favorite search engine (go to my website at http://www.great-hairstyles.com/hair-article-resources.html for details of the best online photo galleries). And once you find the right styles, you can print the photos and take them directly to your stylist or to whoever is fashioning your prom hair style.

When looking through the prom hair style galleries, keep in mind the style and cut of your dress. Choose styles that will compliment both your personality and your dress while at the same time choose ones that will also work with your length and texture of hair. For example: If your hair is fine and limp, avoid choosing prom hair styles that are full bodied or intricate. Doing so would likely result in a messy heap of undignified prom hair before the end of the evening. Instead, choose a simple but classic prom hair style such as a French twist, which is easy to achieve and maintain on fine hair.

Once you have found a few different prom hair styles that would be perfect for your big night, you need to practice creating the style on your own tresses to ensure that you achieve the perfect prom hair style on the night of the dance. Having a practice run or two also helps you to eliminate styles that are too hard to create or prom hair styles that you do not really like once you see them on yourself.

It is a great deal easier to decide that you don’t like a particular prom hair style a week before the special night than it is an hour before you’re supposed to walk out the door. As you can imagine, taking a little time to plan can greatly reduce your anxiety level on the day of the prom and help you to avoid prom hair style disasters.

Reversing Hair Loss Naturally & All About Hair Loss and Baldness

Reversing Hair Loss Naturally
By Brian Simonis

While early male pattern baldness or premature, androgenetic hair loss is often cited as “genetic,” studies show that men who experience advanced balding under the age of 35 tend to have high blood insulin levels. Additionally, there is a strong prevalence of insulin resistance with androgenetic alopecia. (Lancet. 2000 Sep 30;356(9236):1165-6.)

It is widely accepted that male pattern baldness progresses with advancing age, and with that brings on a breakdown of many of our body’s antioxidant defenses. This means tissue is more subject to free radicals, which can impair circulation and create inflammation.

Insulin resistance or high blood insulin levels is brought on by high levels of free radicals, known as reactive oxygen species (ROS). Using an array of potent, natural, free radical fighters can decrease insulin resistance significantly. (Nature. 2006 Apr 13;440(7086):944-8.)

It is also known that those who suffer from male pattern baldness have higher levels of free radicals in their scalp sebaceous glands. (J Invest Dermatol. 1996 Aug;107(2):154-8.)

Diet certainly plays a role, as processed foods encourage the influx of free radical formation in our bodies.

This is especially the case with refined vegetable oils and processed, grains and sugars. Refined vegetable oils not only increase free radicals, they also increase levels of the enzyme 5-alpha reductase, which helps the body make DHT. Levels of DHT are also increased when insulin in the blood is rising. Simple, refined carbohydrate easily breaks down to glucose, raising blood insulin levels. (Reprod Biol. 2002 Nov;2(3):277-93.)

Managing to balance blood glucose and insulin levels is an important to step to help halt the progress of hair loss. Some species of plant extracts offer very powerful antioxidant protection, far greater than what is found in ordinary fruits and vegetables. Additionally, there are inexpensive dietary supplements that help increase your body’s own antioxidant defenses.

The organ system involved with hair growth is extremely complex. Ensuring that each and every factor contributing to your hair loss must be adequately resolved before significant hair regrowth can occur.

All About Hair Loss and Baldness
By Bob Gold

Hair has become a very important asset of men and women today. Tremendous importance is now being given to proper care and grooming of hair. Salons that cater to the every need of people for their hair abound. You might also notice that at least one in every three women has had her hair treated one way or another. Truly, we have now become conscious of our “crowning glory”.

Hair is made up of the protein keratin. The hair strand has three layers. The protective layer is called the cuticle. The middle layer, also called cortex, gives character to the hair. The medulla or inner layer is only present in thick hairs. Hair grows from the roots in our scalp. The hair strand is actually dead cell and the root is the only part that is alive. Nutrients are supplied to the roots via the blood that travels in the dermal papilla underneath the roots. Because the actual hair strand is not alive, it is unable to repair itself from external damage.

The hair has three growth stages. First is the anagen stage wherein hair is said to be most active. This lasts for about five years, but could be slightly longer for women. Next is the catagen stage ewherein hair starts to die. The follicles of th hair now starts to weaken and will shortly die. This temporary stage lasts about three weeks. The last stage is the resting stage of the hair and is what you call the telogen stage. This typically lasts ten to twelve weeks.

Knowing these, we should be able to deduce that hair fall is actually common. It has been discovered that on the average, we lose about a hundred hair strands per day. As long as the amount of your hair loss is in that figure you should not be alarmed. However, once you feel your hair loss is a lot more than that, you might want to do something about it.

About fifty percent of men will suffer from Male Pattern Baldness or what is medically called androgenetic alopecia. The reason why men are mostly affected is because it is the male sex hormone androgen that triggers the onset of baldness. Testosterone can be converted to the substance dihydrotestosterone that causes the hair follicles to shrink and this will in turn cause the degeneration of the hair. Women are not exempt from it, though. Women also have androgens in their body and can also suffer from alopecia.

If you are beginning to feel that you are a candidate for alopecia, you can start taking supplements. These may not completely stop hair loss, but they can definitely reduce the severity of hair loss.
